OVERVIEW
Remote Data Connectors (RDCs) created by Envisage allow data to
easily flow between websites and recordkeeping systems located
around the country. Since conceptualization in the late 90’s, the
RDC family has grown to include remote access to SQL Server,
Microsoft Exchange Server, structured text files, Pervasive file
systems and a number of custom service providers.
Envisage clients, such as Invesmart, save precious time and dollars over attempting to develop solutions in-house by incorporating the RDC family of products into their operations.
RDCs provide a highly scalable, industry standard solution to the record keeper’s dilemma of how to best standardize the flow of data into and out of recordkeeping systems, database systems, and email applications. This technology has proven value in supporting websites, IVR Systems and payroll automation, as well as proprietary utilities.

TECHNOLOGY
The RDC allows developers to tap into data stored in recordkeeping or other business systems through a simple, straightforward XML interface. XML interfaces allow RDC technology to function as a data provider for projects such as rate of return calculators, super statements, straight-through payroll processing, and online enrollment.
By design, RDCs entail a simple installation process and minimal load on the host computer. Use of HTTP and HTTPS protocols enables RDC positioning behind firewalls for maximum security and minimal configuration.
